About This Site

This site presents a brief history of Western Carolina University.  It includes descriptions of prominent individuals, popular folklore surrounding the campus as well as physical changes over the course of the university’s 115 years.

It was compiled by Dr. Mary Adams’s Web Design class.  Class members Shaun Moss, David St. Clair, Worth Corn, Curt Sikes, Jeanine Ordoyne, Terri Latimer, Todd Burkett and Johnnie Mickel researched and wrote profiles telling various aspects of Western’s History.
